DREAMY STAYCATIONS WITH AN OUTDOOR TUB

There’s nothing like being forced into a second nation wide lockdown to get you dreaming of a getaway and planning your next adventure. With international travel almost impossible due to BoJo’s ever-changing rules, a staycation seems the holiday of choice for the moment.

Bubbling plastic hot tubs are soooo pre pandemic and nothing screams luxury staycation like an outdoor copper bath...well for us it does... so we’ve rounded up the best of British staycations with a dreamy outdoor bath to satisfy your travel itch so you can book now and travel later or simply scroll away for future inspo.

By night bunker down in the king size bed suspended from the ceiling and if you have to bring the little ones (we recommend you ditch the home schooling for a night, you definitely deserve it) the handmade sofa beds can accommodate two sproges!

The wifi-free zone allows you to disconnect from the outside world, exact what we need right now, and gives you no excuse not to listen to your other half, you’re welcome...

Okay okay, so this may not technically be a bath, but we just couldn’t exclude this hidden gem from our list. This charming hillside cabin is hidden away in the Peak District and set within 15 acres of private land so you’re guaranteed peace and privacy.

The real selling point of this cabin is the luxurious wood-fired hot tub that sits on a boulder and has incredible views across the valley and if that isn't enough, you can wash with a view as it has an outdoor shower.

Price - from £135-185 per night

Location - Derbyshire

Very high up on our list of places to visit, this lake house is situated on the edge of a lake in the grounds of historic Coddington Mill and is a gorgeous place to rest and unwind from all the drama this year has thrown at us. The open-plan layout seamlessly blends indoors and out with the help of bifold doors opening out to the deck which is home to the gorgeous copper bathtub, a perfect spot to immersive yourself in the sights and sounds of the country.

If you can manage to drag yourself out of the tub and change out of your bathroom into real clothes, the lake house provides bikes so you can explore the local countryside and village.

Opening only last month, this Scottish getaway caught our eye immediately as it’s located outside the stunning Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Each of the 5 treehouses are individually designed and sleep two adults with a king-sized bed.

There is plenty to do in this unique corner of the world including, fishing, swimming, canoeing and hiking but don't forget to make time to draw the stunning freestanding copper bath on the balcony and relax, maybe you’ll even spot one of the rare red squirrels!

As we’re currently in business for outdoor baths, The Fish Hotel has two quirky rooms you can choose from to soak your feet after a long day exploring the Farncombe Estate.

Firstly and personally my favourite, their three luxury treetop hideaways with a sweeping balcony wrapping around the giant oak trees allowing you to take in the elevated views from the comfort of your private, wooden, couples bathtubs.

Rather keep your feet firmly on the ground? The Fish also offer Hideaway Huts, hand crafted, restored shepherds huts each individually designed so beautifully you’ll not want to leave. All huts have a private hikki hot tub with room for two as well as an indoor roll top bath, in case you can't make up your mind!

It's Official, we've found our wedding venue...too soon...well you don't need a ring on your finger to book a night at this Georgian estate (but it sure would be nice, if our future hubbies are reading this, hint hint). This hotel is a perfect rustic chic getaway, immaculately designed and centred around the couch house, with bedrooms throughout the estate. Dine, relax or get involved in the many activities available including cycling around the grounds, baking or clay pigeon shooting, rah, very Made In Chelsea...

The Dairy Cottage is one of the largest rooms and boasts a 6 foot round bath tub, overlooked by the bed which is situated on the mezzanine floor. Outside in the private courtyard you'll find the stunning tin hot tub, pair with a bottle of bubbly for a special celebration or a 'just because' night away, you definitely deserve it!

Hill Cottage is hidden away in one of the most northerly regions of Scotland and blends in with the rugged landscape perfectly. If you’re an eco warrior like us you’ll feel right at home in the cottage as it was built using local stone, timber and building techniques and is powered by an onsite wind turbine and solar panels, creating a carbon neutral and fully sustainable building.

This breath-taking location has a lot to offer, from sandy beaches to the rugged Munro Mountains and craggy rocks as well as waterfalls and plenty of wildlife including porpoises, seals, and playful pods of dolphins! After all that exploring, grab a towel and head out to the free standing bath for a hot soak whatever the weather.

We've saved the best till last...we’ve been eyeing this high end treehouse for years, well from the moment it was built, and are desperate to spend a night here if it wasn’t for the matching high-end price tag…

Set in an enchanted forest in the middle of Dorset, this is your dream-childhood-treehouse-turned-adult with hammock, slide, rope bridge, pizza oven, BBQ, outdoor shower and of course, that outdoor bath on the upper deck. Inside is a revolving wood burner to keep you warm throughout the winter nights, a king-sized bed and a double ended copper bathtub, because one bath just isn’t enough. Do you see why we’re obsessed??

For future reference, Woodman’s Treehouse, we are fully available for paid partnerships....
